Storage

Strong storage units, cupboards and chests with shelves.

Free do it yourself examples to make furniture from reclaimed materials.
Create extra storage space for in the house or workshop.
Most of these cupboards and shelving units have an industrial design which fits in many different interiors.

Reclaimed wood and pipes for scaffolding are the main materials to make these racks and cupboards.
If it is strong enough to walk on then it must be good enough to use as shelving.
For that same reason we advise you not to use wood from pallets in these storage units.

Pallets are great to make lots of furniture, but the wood lacks strength.
Therefore you can best use planks that are about three centimeters thick.
This also provides sufficient thickness to attch the panels with self tapping screws.
Otherwise you might have to recur to classic joinery methods, and that requires a bit more skills than these construction drawings.
